We are seeking a skilled and experienced News Editor to join our team at The Core in either Delhi or Mumbai. The Core is a newsletter to website business news initiative with a strong focus on industrials, led by impactful insights and reporting. The News Editor will play a crucial role in writing, editing and producing high-quality writing for our newsletter and website.
- Write engaging and informative stories for the website and snippets for the newsletter.
- Edit and proofread columns and reports submitted by contributors and reporters, ensuring they meet the publication's standards for grammar, style, and factual accuracy.
- Collaborate with the team to brainstorm and develop compelling story ideas that resonate with our target audience.
- Selecting and prioritizing news and original ideas for the newsletter and website.
- Write stories as needed, covering a range of topics within the business verticals.
- Previous work experience of 5-7 years on a digital news desk, preferably in business verticals.
- Strong editorial skills, with the ability to edit and refine stories while maintaining the author's voice and intent.
